Browsing and device access
You can browse without an account. Your first contribution obtains a random credential stored in this browser or app; the server stores its hash. It controls your own posts and votes. Nickname, language and appearance preferences are saved locally. Clearing storage or uninstalling loses this device’s access. A previously saved private link lets you edit your post, mark the repair as solved or remove the post, even on another device. If you lose both the link and the original access, contact the operator for assistance. The website does not use advertising or analytics tracking.
Advertising in the Android app
The free app.opravy Android app contains a Google AdMob banner. Before requesting ads, we check consent choices using Google User Messaging Platform. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland, the displayed form lets you accept or refuse consent and manage individual choices; the available Ad privacy choices entry in Settings lets you change them later. Refusing consent does not restrict access to the community. Ads are not requested if required consent cannot be established.
The advertising SDK may send Google and the listed advertising partners your IP address and inferred approximate location, advertising and other device identifiers, interaction data and technical diagnostics for ad delivery, measurement and fraud prevention. Data is encrypted in transit. The app does not request precise location or contacts. The system photo picker grants access only to the images you select. One-time ad removal
The optional Remove ads forever purchase is a one-time purchase with no subscription. The Czech price is CZK 99; Google Play displays the applicable price before confirmation. Google Play processes payment; the app operator does not receive payment-card details. A signed purchase receipt is stored privately on your phone and checked when connected to Google Play. Restore it after reinstalling or on another device using the same Google account; refunded or revoked purchases end the entitlement. Once verified, the purchase removes all ads and the advertising SDK is not initialized on subsequent launches.
Posts, photos and languages
With your consent in the form, your nickname, text, selected language, time, photos and replies are published immediately. Content is public and may appear in search engines. Post language determines its community; search across all languages may show foreign-language content. Posts are not translated using paid or external AI services. Publication or a Solved label does not verify technical accuracy.
Upload only photos you own or may publish. The server resizes them, converts them to JPEG, removes metadata including location and adds an Opravy.app watermark. The watermark does not transfer copyright. Original uploaded files are not permanently retained. Do not publish faces, addresses, contacts, serial numbers or other personal information.
The author can remove a post from the same device, hiding its replies and photos too. Only a notice that the author removed the content remains at the original web address. If the repair was marked as solved, that status remains visible; the text, nickname, photos and replies are not shown. The website and app also give the author a private link to manage that one post from another device. No account, email or phone is required. The link contains a random key; the server stores only its hash. Anyone holding the link can edit, resolve or remove that post. The original browser or app installation can create a new link and invalidate the old one. Removal invalidates the link. Data may remain private for dispute handling and service administration. Published content is retained while published. Private reports include the reason, device association and time. Contact the operator for full deletion, access, correction or withdrawal of consent, including the post link.
Voting in the app only
The server stores your positive or negative vote, its installation association and daily lists of rated posts. The limit is 10 different posts daily in Czech time. You may change or withdraw a vote. Votes represent experiences, not professional verification. Reinstalling creates new access, so totals are not verified counts of individuals.
Operation and protection
The website and database run on Active24 hosting. Abuse protection uses short-lived request counters with a keyed, one-way identifier derived from the IP address; old counters are periodically removed. The hosting provider may keep technical access and security logs. Posts are not sent to external AI services.
Content rules
Only upload your own content or content you have permission to publish. Text and photos must not infringe copyright, privacy or any other third-party rights. Publication does not verify a repair. Sexual or illegal content, threats, harassment, hate speech, dangerous procedures, personal information and spam are prohibited. Violating content and its author may be blocked. In the app you can report a post, reply or author and block an author to hide their posts and replies in that installation. Use the contact above for personal-data requests.
